A psychiatrist is a fellow who asks you a lot of expensive questions your wife asks for nothing. -Joey Adams
I love my wife!
Not that it’s always been easy or fun… but it’s always been rich!
10 years and counting and I don’t regret a day of it!
If you are married, you should be super thankful because no matter how difficult it is, it’s an amazing opportunity to grow in patience, love, forgiveness and kindness.
Remember that she’s not perfect… nor are you!
It’s often the things that drive us most crazy about …

The frustration… the failure… the disappointment… the rejection…
It’s so easy to regret and loath the uncomfortable days on our journey.
It’s also easy to forget that those turns along the road brought us to where we find ourselves today!
If we can sincerely get past our feeling sorry for ourselves and see life from a bigger perspective, most of us have to admit that we’re better off than most.  That, although it’s been a tough road, it’s been a good one.
I, for one, want to be thankful this week for the hard …

The United States is the world’s leader in fatherless homes. The results of our actions, according to the Father’s Manifesto:

The “A” Team…

One of the deepest longings in my heart is to be part of a team giving our lives away for a purpose greater than any of us on our best day! Men die daily in service to purposes they perceive to be the greatest on Earth, but…

Death to Life… the story of autumn

Autumn…
Fall has always been my favorite time of year.
I wonder if everyone loves their birthday month as much as I.  Do you?
October is mine.  It’s always been a month of promise for me.   A new year… an opportunity to put the last behind… hope for the next.  That’s always been the story of my October until the last couple years.
The past two Octobers have been ones of brokeness.  More in line with the natural autumn and it’s death leading into winter.
This weekend I am preparing my heart for a visit …

So back a couple months ago, I had the opportunity to spend some time alone. Jess had taken the kids to see her parents while visiting in TN. I had to work so I got left behind. I was down by the reservoir, spending some time in prayer. I will admit that for the past couple years it seems like my prayer life has been kind of dry. However, recently God just spoke to me some simple short words. It was the best drink of water I have …

Exodus 25 Collecting materials for the tabernacle of God
The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me.
“whose heart moves hm”
Don’t think for one minute that God did not have the building of His tabernacle all planned out ahead of time. When he told Moses to tell the Israelites to ask …

As I grew from boyhood into manhood the Bible convicted me of my sins. The Bible spelled out to me that I was a sinful man and that because of my sins I could never inter into Heaven. As we read in Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” After reading this I knew that I fit into that “all”. Even though I was brought up with the Word of God, my Christian upbringing didn’t save me. I realized I was a sinful …
