True worship?
Lights… Camera… Action…
I remember being caught in the trap of thinking worship was a 45 minute light and sound show.
Now…I could probably use a swing back in that direction. I humbly confess I may be a little out of balance.
My current thought bubble… “Corporate ‘worship’ (aka singing worship songs) is far from worship.” The truth in that statement is that corporate worship is not worship in it’s fullness. The lie is that it isn’t worship at all.

“If you werent afraid of death, or failure, or if you weren’t afraid of rejection, if you were not afraid of humiliation, if you were not afraid of what other people thought about you, if you were not afraid of anything, what would you be doing? What would you do with your life?” – Erwin Mcmanus

So, when I graduated I was just tired. But that is changing. I think for the past couple years I have been really selective of what I invest my time in. Most of my taste has turned toward fiction. The books I do read, I admit, I …

warfareI heard the African missionary speak to the church I was attending in 1999. He was sharing stories from his previous year. They seemed so dramatic. In my mind the stories sounded something like near poisonings and kids crawling in bed with a snake, but I can’t remember for sure. Spiritual Warfare,” he spoke. “Hogwash,” I thought! You moved to a tribal area in Africa… what were you expecting…

Our faith community meets in our furniture store.
There’s some advantages and disadvantages to that, but my favorite advantage is that it is undercover.
We have a loose schedule of events and a skeleton time frame that hardly ever gets heeded, but it’s us.
Sometimes things go as scheduled and sometimes they don’t. Tonight they didn’t…
