Teaching:

At CONVERGE we begin with a teaching of a holistic life: that all parts of life are connected and affect each other. How we nourish our "spiritual" aspect of life, affects our "work" life, our "home" life affects our "financial" life, etc. Therefore, we address all areas of life, believing that Jesus came with just as much a revolutionary social message as he did a spiritual transformation.

 

We believe that alignment with the heart of God is based on an a sequential acceptance of truth, which shapes belief, which establishes our values, that sets the framework for our attitudes, and then determines our decisions, overflows into our actions, and eventually manifests itself in our behaviors. With this model, true change must begin with a re-adjustment to believing truth that God puts forth in the Bible.

 

After experiencing inward change, we know that God has called us to be His hands and feet to the world, loving and serving it as Christ did physically on earth and still through his contemporary disciples. Our desire is that CONVERGE's presence in Auburn leads to a community that has been shown the love of God in very practical ways.
