There are an estimated 190+ Million un-churched Americans. 28% of Lee County’s 123,000 people claim to have little or no faith involvement. That’s 34,400 people! If every person in Lee County decided to attend a weekly church service, they would not come close to fitting in the existing offerings.
New people within a community respond to new ministries. Our goal is to obey Jesus in his command to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).These are just a few reasons why new faith communities in Auburn are absolutely necessary. Each new ministry provides new and additional opportunities for believers to serve in their giftedness and mission. They also provide new possibilities for Kingdom growth and spiritual growth among participants. The 21st Century American culture is not responding to the structures and programs of the established religious institutions. We need to rethink the way we do church.
Imagine a community of believers that meets the needs of the rapidly growing population of un-churched people through a network of small groups and ministries focused outside the four walls of the church. This new community is called CONVERGE auburn.
